Anderson has now done the ultimate: convinced Natalie Portman to do her first nude scene for his short, The Hotel Chevalier. The film is a companion piece to Anderson’s forthcoming The Darjeeling Limited and stars Portman and Jason Schwartzman. God, I love Wes Anderson. Enjoy this video!

Young rapper Lil Mama visited “The Kids Block Party” with Wyclef Jean on Tuesday, Sept. 18. 2007 in New York. They read “The Story Of Ferdinand” book to the kids and played in the bouncy house with them. This book is this year’s Jumpstart Read for The Record campaign book. Tuesday’s reading preceded a planned record setting day Thursday, when schools across the country and some stars are hoping to make the largest shared reading experience ever. You saw the video. Now an important industry insider named Bob Lefsetz explains why Kanye has to beg people to buy his album, while Reznor earns fans through his sincere railing against the broken industry they are both tied to. “This is a gargantuan story on the Net. Made by those who care, not the mainstream media or paid street teamers.”

Here is the Lil Mama’s photo from the Heatherette 2008 collection show during NY Fashion Week on September 11, 2007.

Lil’ Mama opened the Heatherette fashion show with the fabulous beats of “Lip Gloss.” Backstage, designer Richie Rich told us they had always sent her clothes but hadn’t actually met her until recently. It was her first fashion show, and in her dressing room beforehand she couldn’t believe it was going to be so short. “15 minutes? That’s it?”

Dallas Austin did the soundtrack for the show, which opened with “Born in the U.S.A.,” since the theme was Americana.

Also in attendance at the show were Diddy (sans Brit), fellow young-but-talented singer JoJo, Nigel Barker (”America’s Next Top Model”) looking quite dapper in his suit (so the opposite of the Heatherette vibe!) plus Jay Alexander (also from “Top Model”), Lance Bass, Bijou Phillips and Tara Conner. Craziest sighting: some dude’s butt in full view thanks to his backless skirt.

Transgender icon Amanda Lepore and Jenna Jameson both strutted down the runway solo, and Lil’ Mama escorted a couple of kids as they bounced back and forth down the platform.

There was, of course, lip gloss in the gift bags.

The show is scheduled for February 24 on ABC and will be produced by Gil Cates, who was also the producer when Stewart last hosted. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is expected to make the official announcement on Wednesday.

Lil Mama has been busy raking in accolades for her debut single, “Lip Gloss.” The song was nominated for a MTV Video Music Award in the monster single of the year category. The winners will be announced at the VMAs on September 9th in Las Vegas. Lil Mama was also nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the choice summer song category.

With the huge success of her debut single, Lil Mama has decided to push back the release of her debut album, Voice of the Young People. The project was initially scheduled for a September release but it will now hit stores on October 30th.

Lil Mama shared that she’s one of the reasons why hip hop is not dead. The rapper said, “So hip hop is not dead because I’m giving you that same feeling that you’ve been missing for a long time. It’s like eating outside at McDonald’s and Burger King for three, four, five, six months and then you come home in the house and have a great cooked meal. You know what that feels like so that’s basically what Lil Mama is, you dig?”

More Britney Spears bashing. Of course she’ll make a comeback, on “celebrity generic reality show” when she needs some cash….Oh! the schadenfreude.
